Let's be honest, it's competitive out there and it's lonely when you're trying to figure things out on your own. One thing I've learned is that having a strong support system and people who can guide you toward success makes all the difference.

As a business & mindset coach, I have my own coach because I know how important it is. As a certified business & mindset coach I've learned how to support my clients and help them unlock their true potential, overcome obstacles, and achieve their goals. Think of it like an athlete. I would imagine there isn't a professional athlete out there who doesn't have a coach supporting them and helping them to reach each level of success.

A business and mindset coach will help you identify and challenge the self-limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. From the age of 0-7, our beliefs are created by our parents or carers. When we're 8-13 we're open to lots of different ideas that can stay with us for the rest of our lives. What a lot of people don't realise is that we have their beliefs and ideas just sitting there under the surface that influence every decision that we've made. Other experiences in our lives also impact how we think and feel like relationships, money and life experiences.

One of the biggest things I help my clients with is becoming super self-aware so that they can start to see those beliefs, ideas and behaviours that now impact their ability to build their business and achieve their goals. As a coach, my job is to empower you to embrace your strengths, boost your confidence, and overcome any negative thought patterns that hinder your progress.

One of the key roles of a business coach is to help you in setting clear and achievable goals. I work with you to develop a roadmap and action plan to reach these goals and also try and identify any hurdles that might come up along the way.

One of the things that I know my client's love is that often we think small to keep ourselves safe. When you have a coach, we'll try and push to think bigger, try new things and reach for those goals in a more confident way. I think that often a coach can hold a higher vision for you and help you see what's possible that you may not feel confident enough to see for yourself.

One of the other great things is to have someone who can hold you accountable, providing the necessary motivation and support to stay on track. I don't know about you but having someone to be accountable to is definitely a motivator.

3) Support your Decision-Making & Ideation Skills

A good coach, asks great questions which means that you can think through what you're doing in your business more clearly. A business coach will help you sharpen your decision-making skills by offering objective insights and perspectives and as I mentioned, they'll ask great questions too.

I'm often working with clients to look at what ideas we can come up with to help them reach their goals, then look at which ideas are the best for them and which decision is right. At the end of the day it's about testing and trying different things, especially in a tough market but that's the great thing about having a coach is that you don't have to go through it on your own. Together we can work through the different ideas and choices, weigh the pros and cons, and ultimately help you make the right business decision.

4) Help you Develop Effective Strategies

Whether you're just starting out or looking to scale your business, a business coach will help you develop effective strategies tailored to your specific industry and goals. They'll share valuable knowledge and techniques, enabling you to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.

As a business coach that comes from 20 years of sales experience, working in leadership and running businesses, courses, consulting and group programs I've seen a lot. That means that I've learned a lot along the way too. So often people jump into business who are highly skilled in their area of expertise but struggling with all the other elements of running a business.

A good business coach will you develop a business strategy, outline your products and services, help you with pricing based on what your financial goals are, support you to develop a marketing and sales strategy and the bonus is the support you get to break through mindset blocks.
