This week I wanted to share a number of mindset shifts that helped me get out of my own way and do bigger things in my business.

It's always so interesting to consciously have mindset shifts that you've seen have a tangible effect on your business. Recently – as in the last 2 years these are some of the shifts that I've had that have made a big difference.

1. The Thought hold me back – “I have to be in the room”
I'm in a mastermind in the US and there were a lot of live calls that weren't in my time zone and I got hung up on that for a long time. But the question I had to ask myself was – do I want to be in this room? Do I want to make these connections? Is this the person I want to learn from and what is stopping me from making this happen? The choice was that I either sign up and make it work for me otherwise there was literally no one else I wanted to work with so I would be flying solo.

2. The Thought holding me back – “There isn't anyone I want to work with”
I am not an island – I have people around me I can bounce off

3. The thought the propelled me forward – My brain is my revenue generator
It’s not MORE it’s the quality of my thinking that changes the trajectory of my business which is why I invest in my brain.  It’s an expense in my business. When I think about how much I spend on holidays and clothes and random things, this is the investment that will last forever.

I was speaking to a family member, and we were talking about something he wanted to invest in and I said to him – I think it’s about $20k USD and right off the bat he said, well I’ll be spending a lot more than that on my degree, master etc for what he’s studying and I loved his way of think.  If I paid that and learnt that then I’ll have it forever.

4.  The thought that propelled me forward – I will bring my best work to life in the assets I've created
I don’t need to create more products; I just need to bring my best work to life in what I have and increase my prices. The people I want to work with in Amplify want to invest in themselves and

5.  The thought work that propelled me forward – Working on the beliefs that “what I have is great.”
We spend so much in – is it enough.
What else can I do?  Which is coming from a place of scarcity, but when you shift into the mindset of bringing your best work to life then you’re coming from a place of how can I make this even better?
What else can I share with my clients that I know will help them?

6. Having big personal goals that drive you in your business.
Something that I've been focusing on more and more and that we talked about in eps 164 – creating savvy money habits (link up). Fairien Azeem who is a money coach, talked about having clear goals for what you will do with the money you earn in your business. So for me, I'd love to buy a property and air BnB it as a future investment and revenue generation.

So now I'm thinking about that. I'm looking at properties. I know someone who manages the properties and in fact they can even find the property and support the purchase and then manage it so it's a hands-off process. Just starting to look at this and think more about it is something that excites me and is a big motivator.

So these are 6 mindset shifts that have really helped me to get out of my own way, refocus on what's important, take responsibility for what I want to do and move forward.

At the end of the day you have to learn to back yourself in a big way.
