Let's talk about

With a New Year finally here, we thought what better way to start afresh than redefining our goals and developing our strategies in life and business.

1/ What is your vision – what are you here to do?

Get clear on the one thing you are here to do and knowing what it is that you want to achieve. You really need to be able to articulate what it is you wish to deliver, i.e “Play big, brand bold.” If you haven't nailed your vision, then you need to spend time doing so, because developing your mission, time and values adds reassurance to the direction you should take.

2/ What do you need to do in order to achieve that vision?

Do all of your ideas help you achieve this vision? Business is not a solo ride, and you need to know what your audience requires from your brand. How does your audience like to consume, engage or GET WHAT YOU HAVE?

3/ What is manageable for you right now?

Can you do things yourself or are there really big things that you will need help with? You need to assess what you can do right now, with the skills, knowledge and time you have, that WILL NOT stress you out too much. Sometimes when we write this list, we realise some things are not one stop activities; they would take more than yourself to get them off the ground. The key when you are starting out in business is to do what YOU CAN execute, and get help. So for now try and work on what is low hanging fruit now and then plan for the bigger things.


4/ What is ONE THING that you can focus on now?

When you are overwhelmed with too many things, it can really help to focus on just the one. This is not to say those are other activities aren't going to get done, or you won't be able to do them but if you try and focus on it all at once, then NOTHING will get done. This tip honestly doesn't mean that you won't get the other ideas done but focus where you can and execute on that.


5/ Develop a 12 month, strategy

This gives clients enough time to map out when they can do about all of the above ideas, and when they can hold the events. This helps by figuring out what you actually NEED to do.

This monthly strategy is where you can plan out your ideas and get the ideas out of your head, and into the calendar. This arranging of lists and information in a timeline allows reassurance that you will get to that activity.

So remember to identify the vision, write the down and figure out an execution strategy.
