And today's topic, I feel is right in line with that where I actually want to challenge you to think differently to grow because I have been having so many conversations with clients and with people in my community. And I'm hearing a lot of things that sound something like yeah, I don't want to do that. So we're going to be getting into it today. So today, I want to talk about challenging your thinking. I know that I talked about getting creative, to grow your business. I talked about that a couple of weeks ago, but something I want to discuss to really look at how you're thinking, and also how you're assessing the decisions that you're making right now in your business. So there's three things I want to talk about. The first thing is, how are you shaking things up. So if you keep doing like know that I'll say, if you keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result, then obviously That's madness. And so I just want to encourage you to take a look at maybe things that have worked in the past may not be working as well now. And so what do you want to shake up? Or like, I'll give you an example for me. So I'm exercising in a different way. I'm shaking up that routine. I'm changing up my diet, I'm spending more time on focusing on what I really want to manifest into my life in a big way. Like I literally sat and I wrote down so many things this morning. And I will do an episode on the five steps on how to manifest what you want. But what I wrote down is what do I really want and who do I really want to be so goal setting around what I want to manifest in my life and really thinking about writing down without any limitations, any boundaries, any barriers to it. What are all the things on a personal level and on a professional level that you really want right now, and be really specific, if you're gonna write down an amount that you want to earn, write the specific dollar down. If you want to see a particular amount in your systems financially, write the amount down, I want you to close your eyes, I want you to picture, I want you to feel what it would be like to see that if you want to fly somewhere and you want to fly business or first class, we were actually on a BBA coffee chat this morning, which is just where the community gets to network and, and connect with one another. We were talking about those sorts of things like what do we want, like I want to fly first class, I want to go to Paris, I want to go there with my husband. And I want to have these incredible holidays. And so I'm now picturing, and I'm picturing getting on the plane turning left going and sitting in first class getting the glass of champagne. You know, there's so many videos that are online where they do a tour of the first class, I'm thinking about going to Paris and sitting on the sidewalk, my husband and I, many years ago, we rode around Paris on bicycles, and we went and drank red wine and ate lots of cheese and laughed. And I'm just like, picturing that as well. For the business, I'm thinking about more speaking gigs, like, I want to visualize me standing on stages with, you know, hundreds of women in front of me. And going back to the huddle for me and thinking about like, what that was like, how did I feel in that moment? What were the thoughts that I was experiencing? And so I want you to really think about how can you shake things up right now, I want you to press pause, and I want you to sit and write, what do I really want and who do I want to be. And I want you to get specific and I want it to be an entire page of a notepad. That's how much I want you to really get into this. And think about what it is that you want right now. And how you want to bring that to life, in your business and in your personal life as well. But if you don't stop right now and pause it, then I it is something that I want you to do maybe in the morning, or whenever you've got some quiet time, I just want you to really think about what is it that I want right now? And how can I start to manifest this for myself, which all it means is to bring what you want, bring your vision, what you're dreaming about into reality. And so when we can be really specific about what we want, then we can start to also think about all the actions that we can take that could help us to achieve that. Yeah. And not worry about how it's going to come to pass. But really thinking about what can I do right now to get more of what I want to create more of what I want to have the impact that I want to have. And so what can you shake up? Is it your morning routine? Is it your eating is the connections that you're making, is that the networking events that you're going to, because those are all the things that I'm doing? Yeah, I'm basically I'm thinking of anything that I can do differently, that could really shift and change the energy around what I'm doing right now, I can feel a big shift coming personally. And so I am embracing that I am going with it. I am really identifying my own resistance to things which I spoke about on a podcast the other day. And I'm really digging deep to have a lot of self awareness so that I can understand what might be holding me back right now from reaching that next level from reaching the audience that I want from doing more of the work that I want as well. So what can you do to start shaking things up? And just stop? If you're not sure. And just think about your day? Just think about do I do exactly the same thing every day? Do I have the same routine? I doing the same sort of work? Am I having the same conversations? And what if I just flipped all of that on its head, and I did something different? What opportunities could come to me if I decided to do something different. And so I just really want to encourage you to think about what that could look like. Because shaking things up is going to make a difference. It has to make a difference as well. The next thing is mindset alignment. So I really want you to think about where you spend most of your thinking energy. Where do your thoughts automatically go to? Where do they stay? Are you challenging? You're thinking in a big way at the moment? Are you challenging how you're showing up? And really, like I said, shaking things up and figuring out what are my mindset practices? What
conversations Am I having with other people? And do you have a determination and I'll do whatever it takes kind of mindset to achieve the goals that you want. And I think that when we talk about mindset alignment, when it comes to challenging your thinking, and doing things differently, you really have to have that self awareness that there is something that you could do differently. There is another way of thinking, there is another way of you creating the outcome that you want, and manifesting what you want, and building the business that you want as well. Because at the end of the day, the markets change where we've changed. And we've got to start to think about these things. And so do you have that determination, you know, have you really thought about who you want and need to be right now in order to get out of your own way. And this is such a big one, you know, that I talk about this all the time, and I work with so many women who come to me, this is what they say, like I hear it every day, I just am in my own way, I want to get out of my own way, I don't know how to get out of my own way. And the first thing is that self awareness, because if you don't even know that you're in your own way, you can't change it, you can't understand what you need to do in order to really shift that. So that you can make the changes that you want to make so that you can create the impact that you want to create. And I think it's really interesting, because I think a lot of times people aren't even willing to admit that sometimes they're the biggest barrier to their growth and to their success. So the question you need to ask is, What am I willing to do to make this work? What am I willing to do to create the business and the outcomes that I want? What thoughts Am I having that is stopping me from taking action? And obviously, you can only understand that when you decide to sit down and write those thoughts out? When you think about how am I growing my business? What are my thoughts around it? Well, you know, where are my clients coming from? Are there any other places I could be looking at? Are there other things that I could be doing? And your brain will automatically offer up your most common thoughts where it's like, well, we know we don't want to do that. We don't we, you know, what we've got may not be working. But we don't want to get out of our comfort zone, we don't want to go and try something new. That's just not what we want to do. And so you will see those thoughts. When you ask your brain those questions, you will see those thoughts as well. And so I really want you to once again, sit down and write down and see them for what they are. So that you can really understand what you need to shift and change and what you need to work on. And I think that's the thing, I think that this is always a work in progress. I don't think that this is ever done. I think that you can get to a place where you're managing your mind, your business is running well. And then things can change. And you've got to kind of go through that process, again, of self discovery about where you are right now. And then what you want. And it could be things like I know that I want to get clients on LinkedIn, but it just feels too hard. And hey, I totally get that. Yeah. Or I don't want to use Tik Tok, because that's not for me, or I don't want to start a podcast because that, you know, I don't know what to talk about. Like that would take too long. I'm just like, what else are you doing with your time? Because if you're not where you want to be and what you're doing is not working, then what else are you going to do with your time but try other things that could be working for you. Now, we'll start building your brand in different ways that you haven't yet tried now. And so really think about what else you could be doing. So for example, something that I'm doing right now that is kind of shaking things up and changing. The way I'm thinking about the work that I'm doing is that I'm kind of blocking our 830 to 930. Every morning, that's my content hour, I grab a cup of coffee, I might turn some tunes on. And I will either do stories in Instagram, I will post a tick tock video that I've already recorded. I can also post that to Instagram if I want or I'll go and create a super quick real, like I did real this morning. It took me less than five minutes. And it was really just a thought that I was having. I think a lot of times we overcomplicate things, but I want you to think about how can I create a way of working that helps me connect with my audience and get out there in a bigger way. But I get it done. And then I get on with my day. Yeah. And so think about different ways that you can work that can really help you to build a mindset that helps you to challenge your thinking and start doing things differently. The third thing that I want to share, which is a little bit it's might sound a bit odd to you, but I'm gonna say it anyway because I've had so many conversations is understanding where the attention is and how you can use it to grow your audience. Now, let's just state some facts here. This isn't my opinion. Don't switch off. Listen to the rest of what I'm going to say. Yeah, but tick tock has overtaken Google as far as being the most popular domain and that is knocking Google off. It's number one spot after 15 years. Yeah. So this is a huge shift in the market. And so Google processes around about 2 trillion searches yearly. The and that's roughly around 5.7 million searches per minute. Yeah. And I want you to know that it is the second platform. So just want you to think about that 5.7 million searches per minute, Google Google processes. And Google is number two. And so 60% of users are between the age of 20 and 50. They're not teenagers. 60% of users are between the age of 20 and 50. And so and 42% of users of the total amount of users are between 30 and 49. So with 30 point 8 million daily active users, 40% of that is 12 million daily users. So many social media experts right now are saying that tick tock is the growth strategy, and Instagram is the place to nurture. So if you want to grow right now, then you've got to start looking at the data, you've got to start looking at where the attention is. And whether that's something you want to do. Now, you might be like, well, you know, I don't want to get on tick tock, for whatever reason, and I would really encourage you to sit down and write those reasons. And then ask yourself, is that a perception that you've had over the last few years? And is it different now? And have you even considered it? Or are you? Are you actually understanding platforms at the moment and making informed decisions, because if you're not making informed decisions, then that's a mindset block, you're just you've just decided that that's not for you. Now, if you decide in an informed way, that that's not for you, then that's totally fine. You know, you've obviously got things like YouTube, you've got also things you can continue on Instagram, if you want to focus on LinkedIn, it's not about being everywhere, but it is about deciding where are the growth opportunities right now, and actually going and understanding the data, so that you can make an informed decision for you for what you do. And also thinking, I want you to think there is always an easy way for me to do this. Like, there is an easy way for me to create this content, do this work, connect with those people, I can find an easy way, I think that the first thought that so many people have is this is going to be hard. This is going to be hard, it's going to be time consuming, I'm not going to be able to do it, and whatever other thoughts come up for you. And I really want to challenge you to think about whether that is just a normal thought that you have, when it comes to anything to do with doing something new. And only you can say whether that is or not. But I think that right now in the market, we've got to start looking at things differently. And I think that we've got to start challenging our thinking, I think we've got to shake up our routines and what we've done for a long time, I think that we've got to start managing our mind and really, you know, focus on what it is that we want and how we're going to achieve that and what actions I need to take to be able to achieve those things. And then also start looking at the data so that you can make really informed decisions about where is the place for you to be and grow and connect with your audience right now. And at the end of the day, we're in a moving market. You know, we're in a moving market where something might be hot and the place to be for a while like Facebook was and then it went to Instagram, and now it's Tik Tok. YouTube's always been around. Yeah. And then there might be something else. And I think as business owners, it's not about jumping to things. But it is about assessing when it's time to consider other channels and options as well. Now, you can obviously choose to go all in in a bigger way where you are, which is also another option for you. But I think you've just got to decide is what I'm doing working? And if it's not, what is it that I'm going to shift and change? Yeah. So I really want you to think about is it time to challenge your thinking? And how can you sit down and spend some time and one of the things that I love to do when it comes to planning is sitting down and writing down all the goals that I have and then looking at all my thoughts around it. Why can I reach that goal? Why
can I reach that goal? What do I believe about myself? What do I believe is possible? What do I need to start doing more of what do I need to stop doing? Yeah. So I want you to really think about whether those are things you need to start actioning in your business and start shaking it out so that you can continue to build the business that you want. connect with the people that you want and generate the revenue that you want
