Today on the poddy, I'm sharing the one question you need to ask yourself to stand out.
Your message is such a massive part of your business, because if what you're saying isn't landing with your audience, then you're not going to attract them, captivate them and convert them, which is exactly what we want to do.
Your message and the reason that you're in business is so that you can make money so that you can continue to be in business, as well as have an impact.
So in episode 243, I've got like three points I want to share with you around the one question you need to ask yourself in order to stand out more.

Hey, hey, lovely, how are you? Welcome back to the podcast. Welcome back to another week. Okay, I'm going to attempt this again. I'm going to try and do a shorter episode. See how we go if you're new around here, I try and do shorter episodes. But I just have so much to share with you that sometimes I find it quite difficult. So today, I've got like three points I want to share with you around the one question you need to ask yourself in order to stand out more. Yeah, so we're gonna like keep this snappy. So I'm going to just dive straight in. Okay, so recently, I spoke at the popular business conference in Canberra hosted by Beck McFarlane, it was fantastic loved it had a lot of my faves there some clients, some new people I met. Also Jade from small business growth Club was there who I love, and we're always on instant together. So it was so fun. And it was such a great couple of days meeting some new people. So I was presenting on the five M's of building a bold brand and business, sharing some new content, new ways of thinking about it, which I always love to do whenever I'm speaking. And one of the questions that I asked that really resonated in a big way, with my conference attendees was, what is the message you're not sharing? Because of that message will make the biggest difference in your business and how you stand out. So I'm just gonna say it again. Because sometimes things can be simple. But we need them to land. So my question to you is, what is the message you're not sharing in your business at the moment? So you may have a belief, you may have a way of thinking, you may have an opinion, and you're not sharing it, because you're worried about what other people might say. And when I shared this question, so many people in the room had something that they believe that they have been dying to say, but they haven't said it. And so do you have a message that you're not sharing? Do you have something that you're like, oh, my gosh, I so wish that I could share this. But I'm just going to keep it safe. And I'm just going to talk around it. And I'm going to talk about everything but that because I'm worried Yeah. And at the end of the day, your message is such a massive part of your business. Because if what you're saying isn't landing with your audience, then you're not going to attract them, captivate them and convert them, which is exactly what we want to do. We are business owners feel like sales can sometimes be a dirty word, we want to build community, we want to love our clients, we want to deliver an incredible service. But your message and the reason that you're in business is so that you can make money so that you can continue to be in business, as well as have the impact. Yeah. And so if you don't have a message that stands out, you're not going to be able to attract the right clients, captivate them and convert them. Bottom line, let's we're just we're going to make it simple. We're going to talk, you know straight about what you need to do. And so there's a few things that I wanted to talk around when it comes to this one question. There's three things in particular. So the first thing is, is that if you're not saying what you really want to do, then you're not being true to yourself. You're not, you're just not being true to yourself, you have a belief, you have something that you want to share, but you're scared that somebody might disagree, or that somebody will have a different opinion. And I will always say so what to that. So what So what if somebody has a different opinion? So what if somebody disagrees? What if they do is that the end of the world, we live in a big wide world with billions and billions of people, we all don't have the same opinion. We all don't have the same beliefs. And that's okay. And that's the great thing is that if you say the thing that you have not been wanting to say, then you will really start to attract the people who love you and what you're talking about and what you do. Yeah, because you might have people in your audience who like what you're about, but then also might like three other people who do what you do, because you're all kind of the same. Nobody saying the thing that they want to say So we kind of in the middle were lukewarm. Whereas if you say what you really want to, not only are you being true to yourself, but you will always also start to attract the people who believe what you believe. And so the second point is saying what you don't want to say will help you stand out from everybody else who is saying the same thing. You know, people want an alternative. So I was sharing with one of the women that was at the conference, she's got a business that's in the health and wellbeing space. And she's got an opinion about something that doctors prescribe that she thinks doesn't really help women. Whereas the product that she sells through the research that she's done, and through the study that she's done, she knows and through the proof of her clients, she knows that this works. And so by not saying what she wants to say, she's missing the opportunity to share new information with her audience. And the reason that I'm saying new information is because when you say what you want to say, you can take a look at the old way of doing things and the new way of doing things. And so you might be scared to say it, because of the old way of doing things. There's an old guard, there are people who believe that this is the only way to do it. But you know better, you've studied better, you've learned better. And so you have now this new information that you want to share with them. And so I want to encourage you to be bold enough to share that new information and realize that you could even say, you know, this was the old way, I totally get why you're doing it. It's not your fault. This is how it's been done for a really long time. But I want to let you know that there's a better way. There's all this new information, there's this new research, there's these new ways of doing it. And you don't have to do it the old way anymore. That's not great for you anymore, there is a better way. And so by saying the thing that you don't want to say you can not only stand out from the crowd, but you can be the leader, you can be the person who's saying, this is the new way of doing it, I want to tell you about this new way. And there might be people who are like, I don't agree with that. And you're like, that's fine, but I'm speaking to the people who want something different. I'm speaking to my audience who want something new, who don't want to do it that way anymore, who are looking for an alternative. And we were talking about this in the amplify mastermind the other day as well is that we want to create an alternative for our clients to do what we teach them to do it better. So just think about whether you're a copywriter or a web designer, you got a product based business, whatever, it's any services, you have a way of doing things, the way that you do it, you fully believe, which is why you started your business that this way, it's a great way of doing it. Yeah, so for example, with the AMPLIFi mastermind, there are so many programs out there that teach you how to build a course in a group program. But what I believe is that you need to build a standout personal brand, in order to attract the right clients to it. So yes, I can teach you the function of building that. But what I really want to do is help you build your confidence to become a leader in your industry. So that that's one of the services of how you communicate your value and how you work with your clients. But I want you to also take a look at whether a podcast and speaking and your thought leadership. And all of those things are the things that are really going to help you stand out so that you can actually attract the clients that you want into your programs. I don't just want to teach how you build a program. Like that's not exciting for me. It's just one of the ways in which you can work. And so I believe that you need a standout personal brand. If you want to have an impact, have a relationship with your clients, and invite them to come and work with you. And not everybody believes that and that's totally okay. And I'm okay to die on my Hill, about about personal brands and why we buy. And so really think about how can you talk about the old way and the new way, and your way might be the new way?
And be okay with people saying I disagree. And we welcome we welcome other opinions, it's totally fine. There should be no fear around that. And if somebody has an a personal attack on you just block them. If somebody has a valid point where they would like to share their opinion in a respectful way, then that's totally fine. So I think just knowing that you have those resources, those those decisions that you can make is great. And the third thing when it comes to saying what you really want to say is that when you decide to say it, you will start to build your self belief and confidence that your message matters that you can be be different, and that what you share is a value to your audience. And so if we want to do things, and we don't do it because of fear, then we're eroding our self belief that we actually know something, and we want to share it, and it's a value. And so the more that you can be fearless in sharing your message sharing what it is that you're here to say what you're here to do, because you know that it can help your clients, then you will start to become bolder, we talk about building a bold brand. Remember, bold means going against the grain, breaking the mold, doing things differently standing out. So if you want to be bold, you've got to start to say the thing that you have been holding back, you've got to say the thing that you really want to say, but that you haven't been saying it. And so I really want to challenge you today to think about that and ask yourself the question and really sit and ponder it. What is it that I'm not saying that I've wanted to say that I've been wanting to say for ages, that I think is going to really help my clients? And the three reasons to do it, is that number one, you're not being true to yourself if you don't do it. Number two, you're really holding yourself back from standing out and being different from others. And the third thing is it will build your self belief and confidence and courage to actually say more of the things that you want to say and not hold yourself back. So that is what I wanted to share with you today. Let me know what the answer to the question is, you can send me a DM at CS Chadwick on Instagram. And I would love to know what you want to say. And then when you share it, feel free to tag me so that I can support you saying the things you want to say as well that maybe up until today. You've been holding back.
