Oh, hey, there, Hey, welcome back to another way, it is good to have you here. When this drops, we are around the 18th of July 2022. And there's a lot going on, there's a lot of exciting things going on. I'm just gonna say I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit excited. I did a whole lot of lattes and lives which I've mentioned to you. And a lot of these episodes have been that, but can I tell you they have helped shift me in a number of ways. They've helped me to really take a look at what I want to be doing more of what I need to do to build the business that I really want. And it's so funny, because I think sometimes we can talk about the things that we teach our clients. But sometimes we got to be a bit reflective on ourselves and say, But Susan, are you doing everything that you really want to do? And so I'll give you an example is that I have been in spinning drama about events for so long. I used to run events, I love events, I love going to events, but I'm like, I don't want to have to run events, like I don't want to plan events. And then when I did this episode that I'm going to share with you this week, I was like Suze, what are you doing? Like you love events? There's nothing happening.
So why wouldn't you run the events that you really want? Why wouldn't you create the client experiences that you really want? You know, you want to do this? So why are you not doing this? When you see other people do it, you're like, Oh, that looks so good. And one of the things is, is that when you see other people doing something and you desire it, you want it then you've got to take a look at whether it's something you should be doing for yourself your business, because that's why you're feeling that way. And so I spoke with my brains trust to Jessica Roberts and Marian Biver. We've got a little Instagram chat going. And I'm like, This is what I'm thinking this is you know, I'm in spinning drama about it. It's ridiculous. I want to do it. I love doing it. I love being at events, so why wouldn't I do it. And so pretty much within 24 hours, I have been booking to see venues that I had already been considering before. I have decided on a date, I have named it and sent a request to my amazing graphic designer, EB Harper from EB harbor designs. And we got to pretty much all up and running. So all that information is going to be coming soon, it is going to be a exclusive client event. So if you're in brandbuilders Academy or amplify or you've been to one of the retreats, then you'll get an invitation as well. So I'm just like, I really want to create amazing client experiences where we go so much deeper. It's like a mastermind environment. It's next level. It's not like what I don't want it to be what you hear all the time at like conferences and things like that. We want to completely take it to another level. So I am super excited that I just made the decision because making fast decisions is something we're talking about today. And that it's now all of the wheels are in motion for it. So a couple of things is number one, I do have one more live masterclass that I'm running on the 19th. So you'd have to be listened to this on the day that it was released. In order to get in on that if you want to get in on that then you can go to Sue's chadwick.com forward slash level up. If you are listening to this the week of the 18th of July and you want to get the replay you can DM me on Instagram. And even though you might have missed the live class, I can send the replay to you. But the other thing is that the doors to brand builders Academy closed this Friday the 22nd of July at 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. We're going to shut the doors I'm going to be doing an update in October or November when the doors open. It'll be brand spanking new but if you join Now, I don't know whether the price is going to go up. So I would join now get in at the current price, get your exclusive invitation to magnetic mastery, which is the client event that's coming up in November. Even if you can't be here physically for that event, there will be a replay, like there will be that event recording, that will be for clients as well. So you will not miss it. So if you've been thinking about it, now's the time to jump into BBA. It's going to be amazing, we start on the 25th of July for our next live round, where I will do live coaching, you will have shifts you will move your business forward in the eight weeks that we are together that is my program and my brand promise to you. If you do the work, if you show up, you will make the changes, it will happen. Yes, because I have watched it over and over and over again. And so all you have to do is go to CS chadwick.com, forward slash BBA. And come and join us in brandbuilders Academy. But listen, without further ado, let's dive into this week's episode on the four elements required to build the business you really, really want.
So today, we are talking all about how to build the business that you want. Yeah, that's what we want to talk about. And I think that there are four things that I want to share with you on this that I think is really important to think about and be mindful of this is going to be a little bit of a pep talk, it's going to be a little bit of a butt kicking as well, just so that you know, if you don't, if you don't want to butt kicking, then I can always catch you at another time. So what I want to talk about is that when it comes to building the business that you really one, the only way that you can do that is by getting really clear on what you want. Yeah, and just I just want to say that sometimes we stay in indecision, because we're not sure that what we want is what we want for the next five years. And so we're like, Well, I don't know if I want to do that for the next five years. And we're kind of not giving ourselves permission to have what we have now and then for it to evolve down the track. And so we stay in the indecision, because we think, Well, do I want to do this in 10 years time? Yes. So I want you to really start leaning into what do I want right now? How do I make that happen right now? And how can I make that decision to so i want you to become really decisive. I think that great business owners, the business owners that I've worked with, who have made huge headway that have gotten where they wanted to go, that have built great businesses have been decisive. Yes, yes. So that's where we want to start going to, and I did talk about how to back yourself and trust yourself. So one of the things that I've done with law has and lives this week, too, is that I'm kind of thinking about the topic, I'm talking ahead of time and what you need in order to be able to implement what I'm talking about today. So if you're like, but Suze, I don't back myself, or I don't trust myself, go and listen to that episode. But you need to become more decisive. Because what, what decisive does is that it helps you move faster, it helps you get out of your own way. And it helps you build trust in yourself, because you are, you've got evidence of your ability to make that decision and know what you want. So a lot of times we see it, and we don't know what I want to know what I want.
I feel like it's almost like an emotion that we get comfortable sitting in because when we don't make a decision, it means that we don't have the opportunity to fail, or we don't have the opportunity to be successful either. Yeah, so when we are in indecision, it allows us to sit in the comfort of not failing and not succeeding. So get clear on what you want. If you want to build a business that you really want. Get clear on what decisions need to be made back yourself. And this is like an internal thing as well. Like you can say to yourself, I make great decisions. Like imagine if you just said that to some I make great decisions. Yeah, I am. I know what I want. Even when you're kind of in it, like I know what I want. I know that I want to build a business that supports women to become bold and powerful voices in the world. I know that I want to build a business that's going to be super profitable. And making like seven figures, that's mine, whatever yours is, is yours. I know that I want to work with clients on a deeper level, and I want to have a lot of fun with them. Like think about what you want, what you want your business to be. And then think about how you're making that decision and moving forward on it. Yeah, so that's the first thing get clear on what you want. Tell yourself you make good decisions and make more decisions, because then you will move faster. The second thing when it comes to building a business that you One is start building and I've talked about this a lot, start building the business that you want in 12 months time, you got to start building it now, because we are impatient, because we expect things yesterday, because we want things to move fast. Yeah. But we're not willing to make the decisions for things to move fast. But also, we're like, why isn't my business where I want it to be. And you've got to know that it's going to take you six or 12 months to get your business to the next iteration of what you want it to be. And when I say the next iteration, the successful next iteration, so you might have, you might be thinking, I really want to have a coaching business, I really want to have a coaching business where I've got clients coming to me, where I don't have to hustle where I don't have to do X, Y, and Zed. And you're sitting in it now going, why don't I have that. But you're not doing the work that's required in order for you to get that in 12 months time, stop waiting, stop expecting things easy, stop expecting things fast, and start doing the work that's going to get you there in the next 12 months. Because the question is, how long are you in this for? Are you just enough for now? And you're like, Well, if it doesn't work in three months time, and then obviously this doesn't work? Yeah, you need to think about, like, how long does it take a baby to walk? Yeah. How long does it take for you to learn? Like how long are we in school for to learn things? Yeah, to grow up. And yet we come into business, and we're like, but if I haven't, like cracked the code in three months, something must be wrong. No, it just takes time. And you've got to be consistent, tenacious, you've got to be a decision maker and action taker, even when you do a live and nobody shows up? I've done that before. But do you stop? No, you keep going? Yes. So I just want you to really think about how you are building the business now and showing up as the person now that you want to have and be in 12 months time. Are you doing that? Are you showing up and being the person who you need to be for your business in 12 months time? And that takes a lot of internal reflection as well. It takes internal reflection on Where are my gaps? Where am I? Where am I not meeting my own expectation of the business owner? And the coach, the consultant, the creative, whatever it is you do that you want to be? Yeah, so if I'm like, I want to be speaking on big stages, I want to have like 50 or plus women in amplify, I want to be consistently attracting people into brand builders Academy. Yeah, I these, these are the things like I want to be talking about thought leadership that is so next level that you're like, save why? And so how can I step into that now, and not just wish wishing I talked about this a lot. You spend so much time wishing that you're wishing away the potential of what your business can be. Because you're sitting in a just wishing mode. The wish, I wish I wish I had more clients. I wish I had more revenue. I wish that my business was doing better. That's a lot of time you're spending wishing and not actually doing. The third thing. We are moving at a pace here this morning, ladies Yeah.
And you notice something Simone, your chef, you know something, Simone, it's not, I want you to think about it. Because sometimes we can be like doing more. Yeah, and I'm sure this isn't how you made it, but I just want to catch it is sometimes we feel like well, what if I just do more, then my business will get to where I want where I want it to be. But the thing is, is that it's doing more of the next level things. So it's not procrastinate faffing it's not posting more on Instagram. It's not like you know, got lots of tabs open but nothing's moving in the direction I want. It's what does the next level look like? And then how do I do more of that? Yeah, rather than like where you are right now. The third thing that I was actually teaching on a sales on a sales video amplify, but I think it totally applies to business is toes in the water versus all in. So right now you might be toes in the water dangling, dangling the toes in the water. What's the temperature like do I actually want to get in and you can be toes in the water for a really long time where you're like, I'll just, I'll just do a little bit of stuff. I'm just gonna put a little bit of stuff in here. Instead of like thinking about whether you're at the shoreline and you're kind of waiting for the wave to come in and touch your feet or are you running into the water and diving straight in? And so when it comes to your business, especially if you are all in in your business as in this is it like you don't have any other jobs or anything else like this is the business you want to make successful, then you have to be all in. And my question to you is, are you all in? Or are you just toes in the water? Are you all in on everything that you're doing? Are you showing up? Are you making decisions? Are you making like making the offer? Are you meeting more people so that you can attract more of the clients that you want? And so really think about? Are you toes in the water? Or are you all in? What do you think that you are right now. And I think that we know, too, I think that we know whether we're toes in the water or that we're all in, because I think that the way that we show up and the thoughts that we have about our own success, and the growth of our business tells us that as well. So if you're like I'm probably like I kind of do some stuff. But I could do more I could be thinking about what my next level is. And I just want to say all in doesn't mean that you're like working loads of hours. And that you're, you know, there's loads of stuff going on all the time. All in is an attitude all in is a mindset all in is how you show up in your business, to kind of like do the things that are uncomfortable, do the things that are hard. But I just think it's hard until it's easy. Like it's uncomfortable until it's not. It's uncomfortable until it's fun. So really think about how you can and really sit with it for a minute and say, Am I all in and other parts of my business that I'm all in but others that I not. So maybe I'm all in in one part, which feels fun and easy. But I'm not I'm toes in the water in another part of my business, which feels really hard and uncomfortable. And so I'm not really like pushing myself with that as well. You noticed something, I think or everything, there is no good and bad, there is just a point where we recognize what's possible and what we can do more of, and then we make the decision to do it. So it's about drawing a line in the sand on that beach, where you've got your toes in the water, saying I'm from today onwards, I'm gonna go all in. And sometimes you've got to make that decision on a regular basis. Sometimes you've got to tell yourself every other day. Today, I'm gonna be all in because yesterday I was toes in the water. But today, I'm going to be all in and say today yesterday, I woke up at 330 in the morning, and it didn't feel good. And I got some stuff done. But I was just like today for half the day, I'm just like toes in the water, I got no energy, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be doing anything. But today I woke up I'm like, all in, I've got lots of stuff I want to get done. And it's really interesting, there's been a whole lot of PR things that have come my way. And I have been toes in the water. So it's not like you don't ever, like go into that sometimes, where I've got people who are like, well, you know, we want to send you out to our list of 65,000 people, and we want you to write for us on this incredible website that's got like, you know, half a million subscribers and, and so these offers have come in to me, and I'm toes in the water with it. And so today I'm like on PR I'm all in today, like that's my job today is to write get back to people submit my stuff, like let's go. So I think it's also about seeing what parts of your business your toes in the water versus all in. And the fourth thing that I want to share with you today is how you can build a business that you really want is to be a problem solver. And so if you go in with the attitude of I can solve any problem, like if anything comes up in my business, I can solve it. Like I know I know what I can do. Otherwise, I know that I can get the help that I need in order to know how to fix that problem as well. So once again, it is a mindset of there's nothing that you can't do, there's nothing you can't work out, there's nothing you can't figure out, or get or do something in the interim, whilst you're figuring that out as well. So I just want you to know that. So a lot of these when it comes to building the business that you want, is just being all in and telling yourself a lot of stuff. Yeah, as in, I can make decisions, I make great decisions. I'm all in, I can become the person and will become the person who my business needs in order to get it to where I want it to be in 12 months time, I am a problem solver. I am an action taker. And so I this is something that I'm so obsessed with. And I love so much. And I was listening to somebody I can't remember who was I was listening to somebody the other day around the identities that we give ourselves and how we live up to those identities. And so for example, if I told my child all the time, that oh yeah, like your sister's more creative than you are or she's a better speaker than you are. Then those those labels that we give ourselves those identities that we give ourselves is what we live up to. And so the labels that you give yourself As in, I'm not really great with problem solving, or I find it really hard to make a decision, or I don't really know what I want. I'm not somebody who finds it easy to know what I want. I'm not somebody who easily makes a decision. Those labels and identities that you give yourself, that is will become a self fulfilling prophecy.
So be careful the labels that you give yourself, because it will determine what you end up doing. And so right now, even if you don't feel it, I want you to think about what my identity is, what are the labels I give myself? What are the things I tell myself I'm good at and I'm not good at and really take a look and say, is that just a story? I'm telling myself? Is that a label I'm giving myself when in fact, I can totally change that. I can totally say that. I'm an action taker. I'm a problem solver. I'm a decision maker. I'm a badass. Yeah. So I want you to re write your identity today. If you've got time to do it. If it's something that you want to do as far as taking action, then write down the identity that you are giving yourself the labels that you're giving yourself and I want you to say whether they're true or not, and also even don't even say if they're true or not just rewrite what you want it to be. And then start living up to that start living up to the expectations that you want to give yourself. So think about that. Yeah, send me a DM. Let me know if you've got any questions. Well, that's it for another week. It has been amazing to have you here as always, and remember to follow me on all socials at Sue's Chadwick. But thanks so much for listening. If you enjoy this episode, then I would love you to leave a review so that others can find the podcast and come and hang out with us every week.
