Hey, hey, welcome back to the podcast. Amazing to have you here. I would really love to know if you are enjoying the longer and the shorter episodes that I've been posting, I've been doing so many Facebook Lives. Facebook Lives, listen to me, it's like I'm in 2000. I've been doing so many Instagram lives, and they've been going really well. And I just feel like it's content that I want to share with you. So today I am sharing one that I did recently on how to get out of your own way. I actually was going to record a different podcast today. But I have to tell you that I have had so many emails and messages from amazing. And if you're listening and you sent me one from an amazing women who have got so much to offer, and they're letting me know that they are standing in their own way. They're standing in their own way, they're afraid. They don't think that they're enough. They're procrastinating over perfectionism, so many things. And number one, I just want to like give you a big hug if that's you. But today, I really want to let you know that there are things that you can do, there are decisions that you can make, that can help you to get out of your own way. So that you can create the business that you want. So you can hit the goals that you want, so that you can do the things that you so desperately want to do. Because what you don't want is to get to a year or two or five or 10 and still be stuck, still be in your own way. Like that is just I couldn't think of anything worse than us being the issue with us being able to achieve what we want. So that's what we're talking about today. today Talking about how to get out of your own way, I get a lot of messages literally like got three, yesterday had one this morning, I get a lot of messages where people say, I, like I know I'm in my own way. I know, like fear is holding me back, lack of clarity is holding me back. People are very aware of the things that they're experiencing, I know that they want to shift through it. So that's what I wanted to talk about, because of all of the messages that I get. Yes. So I know that this is a problem that a lot of my clients deal with it is something I'm super passionate about talking about as well. Because at the end of the day, you can have all the strategies and tactics in the world. But if you are your worst enemy when it comes to implementing them, and actually seeing your own value, and the opportunity that you give your clients to work with you, then I think that it's a super important thing to do. So let's dive in. I wanted to keep this simple. And I believe, based on my coaching and the coaching that I do with my clients, there are three key things that I see standing in a lot of people's ways. The first one is belief. Yes. So the belief that you have and I literally wrote a post this morning in my feed on it, the belief that what you have solves a client's problem. So I just want to read that post. It says, When you know that you can help your clients get the outcome that they want, you'll never hesitate to make the offer. If you're hesitating, then work on your own belief, and what you have, and the results you can support your clients to get, get the belief that you have the solution, and that you can get them the outcome that they want and need from you out of 10 What would you give yourself, when it comes to believing that you have the solution to your client's problem, one to 1010 being I am like he assumes on the mountain talking about it shouting about it. One, I really want to do it. But I don't believe that I have what I need to have or that I believe in what I have for my clients. So give me a one to 10 as to what your belief is, as far as I know that I can help my clients. But I think this is a big one. Like I literally had an email from somebody yesterday, just saying, I know that I want to help my clients. I know what their problem is. But I constantly am sitting in fear. And I don't tell them how I can help them. I'm constantly sitting in fear. And I'm always looking at how I can like what else I don't know, before I feel enough to help my clients. So that was an email I got yesterday. So I think the first thing is, is really working on your belief that what you have your clients need, because at the end of the day, if you don't believe that you won't offer it to them, you won't sell it to them. So I get I get emails, I get DMS saying Suze, I'm really struggling with this. And I will give them my thoughts like you're focusing too much on yourself and not your clients. If you're constantly in comparison, or in that fear, you're like, I need to focus on my clients what they need and how I show up for them. That's what you need to focus on. Otherwise, if you're sitting in that fear, you're constantly focusing on yourself. So the first thing is shifting that belief, I know I can help my clients, let me focus on them. Let me make the offer. Because then when they come to me with a problem, I'm going to say to them, This is what I think but you know something, if you really want some help, I want to let you know that you can come and work with me and brand builders academy or you can come and work in within amplify, or this is what we can do together. Yes. So when you're super passionate about what you do you believe wholeheartedly that you've got the answer for your clients. And you know that you can get them the result, you will not hesitate to say to them, come and work with me. Here's my thing. Let's do this. Yeah, because you know that you want to get them the outcome. So really think about how you're sitting in that. And whether you are openly, enthusiastically, passionately making the offer to your clients. Yes. Because just remember, it's like, I mean, and I didn't say this, I've heard this a million times. It's like if you had the cure to cancer, if you had the cure to something that was B, you would be out there talking about it all the time. You'd be out there saying oh my gosh, this is what I've got. Have you seen it? If you've got this, this and this, these are the problems you've got then this is what I can do to help you. These are the outcomes that my these are the results my clients have had. Like when you Think about anything that you've bought, I'm sure a lot of the time you've gone and looked at testimonials, you've gone and looked at results, which was why it was so beautiful one of my clients learn from propel digital. She did a testimonial yesterday talking about the quantifiable results that she got through doing BBA. And so you want those sorts of things from clients as well? What is the outcome that your clients get? And how can you talk about that more? Because that will people who want to work with you people who have that that issue or that problem? Those are things that they want to know about? Yeah, they want to know that I can do this too, if I come and work with you Sue's, or if I come and work with you, whoever I want to have those results to? Or how can I have results that meet my needs, and what I'm really wanting to do as well. And so you've got to have enough belief. And so many salespeople talk about this, you've got to have belief in yourself, you've got to have belief in your product. And you've got to have belief that your client can get the result. So those are three things around getting out of your own way. Those are the three beliefs that you've got to have. And I want you to really sit and think about it and sit down and write, like out of 10, what would I give myself a belief in myself? Out? You know, some people said seven, some people said eight, what do I believe about my product out of one to 10? Do I think it's a five right now? What would it need to be? What would I need to do to get it to a 10? And do I believe that my clients can get the results. And so even now, there's a lot of things that you can do to help your clients get the outcomes that they want. So even little things that we're tweaking at the moment with our programs is that were taking a look at you know, just giving them more in depth videos at the very start to say, this is how you use the product, this is where you should go, this is what you should do this is when things are gonna happen. Let us know if you've got any questions. So those are some things that I'm looking to do, because I believe that my clients can get the results. But there are things that I can do even more to help them to be able to do that. So number one is the belief, the three beliefs, yes, the second thing when it comes to getting out of your own way, is getting out of overwhelm. And I've talked about overwhelm before. And I have spoken to so many clients where the overwhelm is the fact that you've given yourself too many things to do.
It's like you're like, and then I've got this, and then I've got this and I got this. And then I've got to do and this and this, and this and this. And there's all of the pieces. And you've got to get rid of the versus you because you've got to clean your business up so that you don't sit in overwhelm, is that you've got to take a look at all the things that are on your plate right now. Yeah, write it all down, get it out of your head, get it onto the paper, write it all down and ask yourself, Do I need to do that? Am I the person that needs to do that? Or can I outsource that? And once again, just because you can doesn't mean you should? Just because you can do something? Doesn't mean you should do it? Yeah, just because I can edit videos doesn't mean I should or want to do it. Just because I can do Facebook ads doesn't mean I should or I want to just because you're doing your husband's accounting? because you can doesn't mean you should. But those are some of the things that you've got to take a look at what is overwhelming me? Yeah. Is it the lack of clarity? Or is it that I'm trying to do all of the things? Now the other thing I want to say with this is that you can be the biggest blocker in your business? Yeah, you can be the biggest bottleneck in your business. So you've really got to take a look at and this is a question that I'm actually I'm going to one of the things we talk about in amplify is setting morning intentions and writing the thoughts that you want to have. And those sorts of things I talked about generally not just in that, but one of the questions I really want to add to it is what am I not taking action on? What am I not taking action on right now? That could be holding me back from achieving what I want? So my question to you is, what are you not taking action on? Because that will give you a lot of visibility on things that you may not be acknowledging. But that's sitting there in the background holding you back. So the question is, what are you not taking action on right now? And when you write it down, you have to then look at it and say, am I willing to be okay, with not taking action on that? Because sometimes when it sits in the background, and we don't acknowledge it, we can just kind of sweep it under the carpet or we just pretend like it's not there. It's kind of like, you know, when you see a little kid who does this, and it's like, you can't see me, but that's not how it works. Yeah. So you've got to acknowledge what it is that you're not taking action on. You've got to acknowledge what it is that you're doing that you shouldn't be doing that you need to outsource, get rid of whatever it is, yeah. And then you've got to really make you believe Gotta make the decision about whether you are okay with that. Because if you're okay with that, then you're really saying to yourself, I'm okay with not hitting my goals.
I'm okay with not achieving what I really want to, because I'm willing to allow this overwhelm this messiness, this, like a me standing in my own way may not taking action, I'm willing to allow that to be as it is. And so that's the question, you've got to ask yourself, What are you not taking action on? And are you okay with that? And are you okay with the result of that. And if you're stuck in perfectionistic tendencies, then just changing the thought that nothing will ever be perfect, can help you to not be a perfectionist as well. Because if you're if you acknowledge that you're constantly chasing something that is not possible, then hopefully, it starts to shift the fact what if I could just make it as good as it could be right now. And then I'll make it better later. Like, I have to be honest, some of you will know, I've just been through a bit of a brand refresh. When I look back at the first brand iteration and all the ones that in between, I cringe like, I'm like, Oh my gosh, that was so bad. But if I had waited for it to be perfect, as they say, if it's perfect, you've waited too long. If it's perfect, you've taken too long. Nothing will ever be perfect. Yeah. So once again, acknowledging what am I not taking action on? What am I sitting in, waiting for it to be perfect? Am I willing to allow that to stop me from making the getting getting the outcome that I really want? So the other thing is being like others. So this is another thing that really stands in people's way, which kind of comes into the perfectionism thing as well, is that we look at other people and we say, Why isn't my website like this? Why aren't they branding photos like theirs? Why isn't my funnel like theirs? Why isn't this like theirs? And so we're spending so much time consuming other people's stuff, and we stay in comparison, and then we aren't able to kind of get ourselves out of that, because we're constantly looking at this, instead of just sitting with our stuff and saying, How can I make this great? Do I love it? Does it work for me right now? How am I focusing what I'm doing on my clients, we sit in the comparison and it stops us, I just really want you to think about that. Like I you over consuming other people's stuff where you wish that because wishing can take up a lot of time in our business. I wish that I was better. I wish my branding was better. I wish that I had more of this, whatever it is, and wishing can take up a lot of time. So I just really want you to think about what is it that is holding you back right now. And just getting it down on paper. It could be fear, it could be comparison, it could be waiting for things to be perfect. It could be that I need to know more in order to but just know that where you are right now, you can help clients who are not there yet. You don't need to be like the people that you admire the people you follow the people you learn from, you don't need to be like them. Yeah, and you don't need to be at the same level as them either. Because no doubt they're probably 10 years ahead of you. And I think just acknowledging that as well as really important. Like when you're at the beginning or kind of into your journey where you are right now. Just knowing that you can support clients where you are right now. It is you are enough it is it is enough, what you know, is enough. You know, we are all on a journey of building and growing and learning and evolving ourselves. But where you are right now is enough. And I think just constant I talk about this a lot. I'm constantly having that. Let's give it a go. Let's say I talked about it yesterday as well. So really think about if you're holding yourself back. You're gonna start being tough with yourself. Like if somebody who you really loved came to you, and they said, Oh my gosh, I'm so burnt out. I'm so overwhelmed. I've got so much going on, what would you say to them? And I know what you would say to them because we would all say it to somebody else. You've got to take some stuff off your plate, you've got to look after yourself. You've got to give yourself space for joy and, and relaxation and recharging your own batteries. We all know this spiel but then we don't do it and say it to ourselves. So I really want you to think about these are the three things that hold people back. Number one is the belief belief in yourself, belief in your product and belief that your client can get the result. The second one is getting out of overwhelm cleaning your business up and getting clarity around what it is that you want to do and what you need to get rid of. But also asking the question, what is the one thing I'm not taking action on right now. And the third thing is being like others being in comparison, constantly chasing what others are doing without focusing on you yourself and what it is that you want to create, build and have.
