This week on the podcast I’m talking about a concept I created called Magnetic Magic. I recently shared it at The Huddle event in front of 700 women and I wanted to share it here with you too.
In the last two podcast episodes, I shared part 1 Magnetic Magic, part 2 Aspiration Desire and this week I'm sharing Done Energy as part 3. The three of them go together and if you are working out how you can build these three things in your business, you’ll find growing your business so much easier.
In this episode we're talking about:

So let's start with what is done energy done energy is when you bring magnetic magic and aspirational desire together, and it creates a done energy. So what does that mean? When I was at the huddle, I shared a story that when I met my husband, Gareth at a speed dating night that there was a moment, I joked and I said it was like zoo landers, Blue Steel. For anybody that gets that reference. I hope that if you're in my audience, you get that reference. Because that's very my humor, please steel moment where he gave me a look my hobby, not Ben Stiller, but my hubby gave me a look. And I knew that I was done. So I was actually happily single, I was married to my friends, I had an incredible job. I was like traveling all the time. And I just wasn't interested in having a partner or boyfriend. And so I ended up going along to a speed dating night with a girlfriend of mine that wanted me to be her wing woman. And that's where I met my husband. And so when we met, it was great, great banter, lots of funny bits. And then we ended up going downstairs at the pub that we were at and having a long conversation. And there was just that moment. And so even though I wasn't looking, when that happened, I was done, I was off the market. And the same can be said for you and your clients, there can be those moments. So when we find somebody who has magnetic magic, and we have an aspirational desire to work with them, we're going to keep it in the business context to work with them, then often we can just decide that we're not looking around anymore, and that this person is our person. Now you can absolutely go back and listen to obviously Part One and two and all the practical things that I've shared with you already. And that will absolutely help you to move towards this. But I also wanted to talk about what creates done energy. So I do think that when you build that magnetic magic, and all the points are shared, and when you create that aspirational desire, then done energy is more likely to happen. So when I think about how I consume content and how I buy and when I get that feeling of what's happening, then there are three key things that I wanted to share with you today that I guess do it for me and I i The caveat that I want to put here is that your done energy might require something different. So I think this is almost like, this is what it is for me. What is it for you? So when you decide that you found somebody, and they're your person, what are the factors that create done energy for you. And I think just starting to really understand that more like the buying behavior, the buying psychology, the deep desires of your clients, or the rest of it can help you to articulate a little bit more. So the first thing that creates done energy for me, is transparency and clarity. And I did touch on being clear in magnetic magic, but when I decided that I want to work with somebody, a big one for me, personally, is transparency. So much so that when I thought through and looked through my own business, there was one service that I didn't have the price on, and I actually went and changed it. Because to me, transparency equals trust. When we are transparent, then people often feel more trusting, like we've got nothing to hide, and that we're being really upfront with them as well. And if you've worked to create that magnetic magic, and there is aspirational desire, I want to work with you, then lacking Transparency can affect some of the good work that you've done. Yeah. So I'll give you an example. There was somebody who I was potentially looking to work with, I think she's amazing, she's great,
I signed up for the waitlist, there wasn't any pricing on it. And there were a couple of things that were missing as far as what I wanted to know. And then when I got the information about the program, and I read through it, I thought, if I had seen this, I wouldn't have joined the waitlist. And so that's where our transparency and building trust means that we're attracting the right people to us as well. So things like sharing your values, sharing your pricing, sharing the bad with the good, sharing how you help, there is so much that we need to think about when it comes to being transparent in our business. And I do think that right now, and for a long time now people buy on values. So really being transparent and talking more about your values can really narrow the field down when it comes to clients where they're like, oh my gosh, we're so values aligned, your energy totally connects with me. I know how much it costs to work with you. And I know I want to work with you. And so I think really trusting that process as well, is so important. The other thing that I've had is I've had people that are like Suze, you share the good with the bad, like I talk about when I fail, I talk about things that have gone wrong for me, I talk about the ups and downs. And that has built trust with my audience. I'm not always like, it's all amazing, and everything's fabulous. And unicorns and rainbows. Yeah. And so when we are we share our values, which align with the right clients, when we are transparent around our pricing, how we work, how people can kind of come and engage with us. And when we're transparent around the journey that we go on, that all builds trust. And I think that that really works towards somebody going you are for me. So is there something right now that you're not sharing that you think could really help your audience to connect on a deeper level with you. And just as mentioned here, it's not about your showing everything. It's not about you're showing your kids and all the private bits of your life. I'm not saying that I'm talking about you as a business owner, and how people engage with you. Is there something that you're holding back that you know that if you shared it, and you're comfortable, and when I say comfortable, sometimes we have to get, you know, uncomfortable in order to get there, but that you're willing to share willings a better word than comfortable because you can be uncomfortable but willing to do it and courageous enough to do it as well, then I think that that's something to really look at. The second thing that creates done energy is consistency. Now I almost feel like consistency is a bit overused. But I want to tell you what I mean by this, I am going to share a harsh truth with you. It's really easy to go from someone being obsessed with you, too out of sight, out of mind. So you have to create a content ecosystem where people can still consume you even when you're not around. So you know when you're laying on a beach somewhere doing nothing, they are still getting their fill of view and they can binge you till the cows come home. And so ways that you can do that which continues to build that aspirational desire continues to build the magnetic magic continues to work towards them having a die An energy towards you are things like podcasts, blogs, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube books, anything that's evergreen that I can go back and listen to, I think it's really important for you to decide, have I created evergreen content that allows my clients to binge me and find out more and continue to consume me? Yes. So I have had clients where they're like, Oh, my God, I just discovered you. I have been binging your podcast for the last week and I'm ready to buy. Like that is what creates done energy. Like I'm all in on you. I've discovered you your values align with me, the content you show aligns with me, your vibe and energy aligns with me like I'm all in. So I want you to think about what are you doing, that creates an ecosystem where people can continue to consume you when you're not around. So this is not about being odd all the time. It's not about showing up all the time. Obviously, that's important. But it's not about that. It's about creating a smart business that allows people to connect with you on an ongoing basis. So when I want to binge Brene Brown, because I haven't seen her for a while I think she's gone on a hiatus for a while I know that she announced that. She's like, I'm not doing my podcast for like another six or 12 months, or whatever it
was that I just go to YouTube and watch all the videos that she has. And my fire is sparked again, when I don't see Elizabeth Gilbert mainly on Instagram, that I jumped back into audible and I listened to Big Magic for the 50 million time. So when it comes to keeping that done energy flame burning, what can your audience community and clients come back to of yours? A simple email can you know can keep you front of mine as well. And I know that so many people struggle with this, they find it all too hard. But I want you to understand that people are busy, they have decided that they love you. And as a business owner, it's now your job. Yes, it's your job. As one of my gorgeous amplify clients, Haley says it is your job, it is our job to be visible. It's part of our job description. Yeah, if you're a business owner, and you don't have somebody else developing your content, it is your job to work out a smart way that does not burn you out. That does not mean you're working all the time, that creates this kind of ecosystem. Now one thing I want to say is that if you're smart about the body of work you create, then it could be in a lot of places so that you don't have to do it forever. So think about how you can start to create that ecosystem so that you live forever in the minds of your audience, even when you're not around. Like if you were to take three months off, could your audience still connect with you and consume your stuff. And I just want to say that it's fine for you to take time off as well. But I just think set your business up for success. The third thing when it comes to creating that done energy is creating compelling thought leadership and creativity. So whilst done energy is totally a vibe, the vibe comes from somewhere. So the reason that I've said thought leadership and creativity is that if you're an artist, or you have a product, or you're a service based business, your creativity, thinking what you share in either of those spaces can create a compelling connection for your audience. Yeah. So this leads on from building your ecosystem that lets me consume, consume, consume you, if what I'm consuming is amazing, then I'll keep consuming and do you know what happens then the more I consume, the more likely I am to buy. So what is done energy, it's when somebody decides I'm done looking, you're my person, I want you and then they're all in. So by creating awesome things that your community want more and more of, which is why if you get creative if you share really unique thought leadership, then it reduces the number of touch points, or the time in which it takes them to actually purchase or make a purchasing decision. I mean, how good is that? So one of the key things as well around done energy is that you want to create a really smart business where you are reducing the friction. And the number of times somebody has to jump through a hoop in order to buy from you. So how does how does it work? I create magnetic magic, which people are like oh my gosh, love you. Aspirational desire. You're on my vision board. Done energy, okay, I'm here I'm in. Yeah. And then you're being transparent and clear. You're being consistent so that you keep that fire burning. You create compelling thought leadership and you're creative with how you do Word, and you simplify your business so that they can basically click on a link and go and buy from you. And so I have to tell you, I have found somebody where I was like done, I'm like, I want to work with you, you're amazing. And it was so hard to buy from them that my flame went out.
So the practical elements of your business, having the right foundations in place, where you've got great pricing, you've got great systems, you've got a good brand strategy, you've got a great business strategy. Yeah, all the things we go through and brand builders Academy is leading to how you create this kind of effect with your audience. And so I just think it's really important for you to take a step back, and not get kind of overtaken with the wow factor of these three things. But let's really dig into the practicality of making sure that once you've done all the work, you don't fall down at the last hurdle where you've won the person over. But now you've made it really hard for them to buy from you. You know, maybe you're constantly sold out or out of stock of your products, whatever that might be. Maybe it's really hard for them to know how to buy or join a waitlist or where to go next. Yeah, I've got to jump through 50 hoops before I get there. And so I want you to really take a look at your customer journey, and how you can simplify it and make it amazing and gorgeous. I'm so excited. We're doing a full update of all our brand builders Academy, this coming October, November, new branding, new worksheets, new customer journey, new videos, all of the things. And so really carrying through when somebody finds you and they love you, and then when they come and work with you just increasing that wow factor on a consistent basis is so important. And I'll tell you why. Because when you create that done energy, and they buy from you, if they continue to have an incredible experience, they will then share that done energy with people that they know. They're like, Oh my god, this is the person you have to work with. She's amazing. You've got to get in this is incredible. Yeah. So they then, like share the done energy so that more and more people come to you. So that is our final podcast in this three part series. I didn't want to make them really long. I wanted to make them really short and consumable and actionable.
