This week on the podcast I’m talking about a concept I created called Magnetic Magic. I recently shared it at The Huddle event in front of 700 women and I wanted to share it here with you too.
Over the next few weeks I’ll share this as part 1, Done energy as part 2 and Aspiration Desire as Part 3. The three of them go together and if you are working out how you can build these three things in your business, you’ll find growing your business so much easier.
In this episode we're talking about:

So today, I am going to be doing the first part of a three part series. So recently, which I have mentioned, and I've kind of talked a little bit about recently at a an event, which was the huddle in Orange, New South Wales, I did my talk on magnetic magic. And within magnetic magic, I mentioned three different things. The first one was magnetic magnetic magic, which is what we're going to talk about today. The second thing is done energy. We'll talk about that next week. And then the third one is aspirational desire. And I'm gonna go into depth with all three of these, not only am I going to share what they mean, and how you can embody them, but we're also going to be looking at different ways that you can implement it in your business as well. So I want it to be really practical. And I think that whenever we come up with new ways of talking about things, which I love, and it's always exciting, when you come up with new thought leadership, new isms, things that are very you. And these three things are things that I've developed, I've created, I've kind of built content around. And it's important to be able to communicate them in a really clear way so that they're not just something that's fun to say. But they're actually practical things that you can implement for yourself as well. And so that's what I'm going to be going through in the next couple of episodes, which I'm really excited to share with you. And I know that this really resonated with a lot of people at the huddle. And the feedbacks been amazing. And I love that people are talking about done energy and magnetic magic and all the rest of it, just when they're doing their posts on their stories and things like that. So it's always lovely to see when something that you've created is adopted by the people that hear it as well. And one of the things that I love to talk about is how we create a business that people are drawn to, that people want to be part of, you know, so that we're not out there chasing things down. But that when we really step into who we are and how we do what we do, then the right people, the right people, make sure you catch that one. I just like you for me. And that's what we want. And I think that that's what I want to talk about today. And make sure that it's something you can really think about how do I do that in my business. So that is what we're talking about magnetic magic. But listen, before we dive in, I do want to let you know that the doors to brand builders Academy you can join now, we've got our live coaching calls coming up, we've got a live round coming in July. And the reason that I am mentioning it right now is one because it's amazing. And if you haven't joined, you need to get in. And you can actually get started for $270, which is pretty insane. So definitely check it out. But the reason that I'm sharing it is because we have a number of bonuses that you can check out before the end of the financial year here in Australia, which is the 30th of June. And so you can head to Suzanne chadwick.com forward slash BBA 22 to check out those bonuses and joined today. Otherwise, if you're listening to this after the 30th of June, then you just go to Suzanne chadwick.com forward slash BBA. And you can join as well. So the live round starts in July, which is basically going through everything together over eight weeks diving deep. And it's so fun. Whether you're in you know, our evergreen, which is you're joining at any point in time or whether you're in a live round, it is always something that I know is going to help you to create the system strategies and structures to be able to scale your business have more fun, have this magnetic magic that we're talking about as well. And what am i God has clients said there is no way I would have had the balls to do this two weeks ago. I loved the idea but I was scared my anxiety and fear around growing has reduced so much even in the last two weeks and I don't feel that words can even describe how I feel right now going after what I want
So I love those testimonials. So make sure that you come over and check it out and come and work with us. But listen, without further ado, let's dive into this week's episode. Okay, so what is magnetic magic? So magnetic magic is the pull that you have towards something or someone, it's the need to see what's going on to listen to them to hear what they have to say. Because their energy, their thinking, their way of being, and just how they show up speaks so deeply to you that you can't help but be drawn in, you know, the feeling. I'm sure there are people that you can think of right now, where you have that feeling with. So the question is, how can you create magnetic magic in your own business. So today, I'm going to take you through five things that I think about when I think about people who have magnetic magic. So the first thing is that they walk to the beat of their own drum. So I really want you to think about people who are just doing their thing. Yeah, they aren't following trends. They're finding their own way to create and be in the world, and you love them for that. You know, it's interesting, it's different. And in a world where there is so much same same, we crave different, we crave unique, that's the reason why they stand out. Their uniqueness helps him to stand out from the crowd and makes them not only magnetic, but memorable. And I think this is another really big part of being magnetic is that you want to be memorable, because one of the key elements of having a strong brand is brand recall. So if you can recall somebody on a regular basis, that means that that you're more likely to connect with them regularly as well. So if somebody doesn't stand out, and they aren't memorable, or they haven't given you a reason to come back again and again, then you won't. So we want to buy from people who are different, who don't look and feel like everyone else. Which is why I think when we take a look at other people's websites, other people's brandings other people's way of doing things, and there's just a bit of a difference between being inspired, and copying. Yeah, and so sometimes we're like, I just want it to look like this, like this person's. But then when you do that, you don't have any of your own originality, you don't have anything that is uniquely you. And so if you look like everybody else, then you're not going to be memorable. And one of the things that that so many people have said to me, as soon as when I go to your website, it just feels really bold, it feels colorful, it feels inviting, like I want to be there. And it doesn't look like other people's, which I'm really proud of, you know, I don't want it to look like other peoples. And so I just want you to really think it's easy sometimes to get caught up in the trends that are around. And I think just really thinking about what is me? What is it that I love? What really reflects me? Yeah, and how can I embrace that even more? So how you can apply this bit to your business is I want you to think about what you would love to do what makes you different? Yeah. What is it about you that you feel is really unique? If you could communicate it in the way that you love? And once again, forget trends for a minute, what would you do? So with this, I do think that you can be inspired by other people, but you just have to have your own flavor.
So one of the things that I love is that there's a couple of people on Instagram who do really great content. And I really liked the way in which they do it like the look and feel of it. But what I could do is take inspiration from it, do something similar, but have all my branding, and also think how can I make this different from theirs? So it's not just about taking the inspiration and running with that, but also taking the inspiration and then saying, What's my flavor? What's my thing I'm going to do? That's going to be a bit of a tweak to it. The second thing when it comes to creating magnetic magic in your own business, is that people who have it show up fully as themselves quirks and all. So let's talk about showing up fully. These people show up in a way that has you hooked. They're not just talking about business but everything so you get to see the whole person, the ups, the downs, the INS the outs, the things that other people don't show you. And so I really want you to think about how you can potentially be showing more of yourself. Now the one thing I want to say is that it's not about showing every thing, it's not about sharing everything. It's not about getting into your privacy, but it's about showing all elements of you. So you don't have to show your kids. If you don't want, you don't have to show your family if you don't want, you don't have to show certain things if you don't want, but you are a, like a complex being you are a multi passionate person, potentially. Yeah, you've got personality, what do you find funny? What do you find inspiring? What is it that you share that's unique to you, that you could be sharing with your audience. And when we show up fully, it builds trust and connection at the end of the day, that is what is magnetic. So I feel like I can trust you, I feel like I really see you I feel connected to you. And I remember the client saying to me, I bought from you, because you're always showing up. But you also share the good with the bad, you share it all. And so I felt like I knew you. And then I knew I wanted to work with you. So I just want you to really think about if you don't show up fully, you could be leaving money on the table, leaving relationships on the table, not connecting with your audience in a way that you really could, that could be better bolder, more useful, more connected, it could benefit you a lot more as well. And so how you can apply this to your own business is for me, I like to show up in a stunning dress in a professional photo. And then I also like to do a real in my sweats with no makeup. Because that's the truth of business, some days you put together and sorted and other days, your sweats kind of girl still just doing the work and showing up anyway. And so I think that, you know, when we're really honest with ourselves and think about how we're showing up in our business, is it always super polished or filtered. And I don't just mean like a filter on your phone, I mean that you're just showing the good stuff, or you're just showing the stuff that you think people want to connect with. And something that I have found is that when you don't show up fully as yourself, then you feel distant. And distance equals disconnection. When you are distant with your audience, it creates disconnection I can't relate to you. I don't feel like you're showing everything. I feel like you're only showing the good. So when we are distant with our community and clients, then we're kind of breaking that trust. And so if you want to create magnetic magic, I want you to think about how am I showing up right now?
Yeah, what is it that I'm doing that I feel is fully me. So I recently did a reel, you'll only see it if you go into my reels. So the reel that I just did is, you know, don't let people know how weird you are until it's too late for them to break up with you. But I actually think that bringing your weird bringing your wonderful bringing your magic is what will set you apart from other people. And so really think about how you can potentially be showing up in a way that works for you. And that's the thing it is about working for you. It's about really bringing your full self to it so that people feel like they are connecting with you. The third thing to building magnetic magic is be a great storyteller. So we love somebody who shares great stories about the things that they experience. You know, and I'm obsessed with people like Brene Brown, Liz Gilbert, Shonda Rhimes, because they tell great stories. And I remember buying B School back in 2014, because Marie Forleo told really great stories, and I was hooked. You know, I'd be watching her q&a Tuesday, every single week. And she always had like, really great stories to tell. And so that made me feel like it was easy to remember. I wanted to come back for more. You know, I was learning from the stories as well. And Tony Robbins tells great stories as well. And so people who I follow online usually give great story. So we can be visual storytellers. You know, it can be verbal stories, but there's something to follow along with. So, you know, you were here and now you're there, and then you'll be somewhere else. And so, I'm not just talking about physically, but in your journey. And so what sort of stories could you tell from your journey because at the end of the day, we remember stories 21% More than we remember facts and figures. So we're built for story. That's how we've, you know, past history down. So really start to think about the stories that you tell. And one of the great references that I can give you or resources that I can give you is the podcast on Storytelling that you can go check out in the show notes, I'll make sure that I link it up as well. And so you can go and take a look at all the different types of stories that you can tell. So how can you apply it to your business is think about the stories from your own business and life right now, it doesn't have to be like storytime where you sit down and you tell a really long story. You could be sharing it on Instagram, through your weekly email, through podcast episodes through conversations, you know, how can you tell better stories is a really great question to ask yourself, and
how can you take people on that journey? I literally just had a coaching call with a client this morning about this. And she was saying that she was just finding it hard to figure out what story to tell, because there hadn't been like this big pivotal moment, this big drama, you know, that had happened, you know, there wasn't any trauma. And I think that we just need to realize that that is not the only type of story that we can tell. And so as I said to her, we have stories available to us all the time. Like something that happened this morning with your kids, there could be a lesson in that there could be a story in that. And also taking a look at the stories that you've got and thinking about the different ways that you can share from that story. So I'll give you an example. So I've shared the story before about Mrs. David, who was my year 10 debate teacher when I was 16. So that one story. There's different ways that I could use it, I could talk about her leadership, and how she inspired me, that's one way I could talk about how I learnt to have a voice. She taught me how to have my voice or create my voice when I was debating. I could also talk about doing something that you're really scared to do. But finding the courage to do it as well. I could talk about all of the things that I failed at when I was a debater and how I learned from those. And so you could have one story and you could use it in many different ways. And so I really want you to think about how you tell great stories in your business so that people can relate to it. It's memorable. It's something that you can use in different ways as well. So whether I'm on Instagram, in my online programs on coaching calls, I'm thinking about how we communicate and connect through story. It just makes learning something more fun and interesting if there is a story involved. So I want you to think about how you can do that more. The fourth thing is be bold, you know that I'm always gonna say that to you. If you want to build a magnetic magical brand, then you've got to be bold, and we love courage. We love confidence. We love people who are willing to put themselves out there and try something new. So when you're around bold people, it inspires us to be bold, too, which is why I'm a big advocate for group coaching as well. Like, I feel like my clients who are in either BBA or amplify, when other people are going for big things, it inspires them to go for big things as well. And so what is bold look like to you. You know, it's something I talk about all the time, it's about breaking the mold going against the grain challenging the status quo. But what does that look like in your industry? And how could you use it in your business. So this could be talking about the thing that nobody wants to talk about. So if you think about your industry, it could be looking for those things and thinking about, you know, what aligns with your values, your beliefs and your business that you're willing to go for. It's not about being controversial for controversial sake. It's about saying, let's talk about what's going on here and being okay with being the leader of the conversation as well. And I think that when we talk about being bold, building magnetic magic into your brand and into your business, is about being the leader is about, you know, being willing to talk about things that others aren't willing to talk about. It's about doing things that others aren't willing to do. And it's about doing it in your own way as well. So really think about how can you be bold and be a leader when it comes to building magnetic magic. And the fifth thing is be clear. So you know, when I don't have to work to understand what somebody is about. It's just more attractive. So take a look at your business with fresh eyes and ask yourself, is it clear what I do, who I'm for and how I help? Could it be clearer? Does it need a read jig or an update? Is the message the same now as it's always been? Or is there a new way that I'm talking about what I do? And so, in your business, I really want you to think about Do you know what you want to be known for? Are you clear on what you want to be known for? And I feel like people say yes, but I'm not always sure. That vehicle They're on what they want to be known for. And so, you know, for Elizabeth Gilbert, it is all about creativity for Brene. Brown. It's all about vulnerability, Shonda Rhimes. It's all about storytelling.
So think about what is it that you want to be known for? And are you really clear on that? Like everywhere? Are you? Is it black and white? are you shouting it from the rooftops? When I land on your website? Do I know exactly what you're going to help me to do? Because that clarity really brings once again, certainty and trust. And those are two things that we want from people, we want certainty, and we want trust. And you might think that this is kind of a bit clinical for building magnetic magic. But these things will make the biggest difference. So these five things that we've just gone through is walking to the beat of your own drum, showing up fully quirks and all telling great stories that you can share about you, your business, your clients, being bold, and being a leader, and the fifth one is being clear. So I want you to think about how you are doing those five things in your business, so that you can really stand out and start to magnetize the people that you want coming to you. So that was the first of three. So that was all about magnetic magic. Hopefully, there's some super practical things in there that you can really start to think about and apply in your business and then I'll be back next week. We're going to start talking about done energy. That's it for another week. Amazing to have you here. Just remember you can always connect with me on Instagram at Suzanne Chadwick.
