Make them relatable, make them real, and most importantly, make them reflective of the incredible journeys your clients have been on as they worked with you. It's like when you read a great review for a restaurant – suddenly, you're drooling and can’t wait to taste the dish. That's the feeling you want to create.
Did someone say evergreen webinars? Yes, please! As someone who has hosted both live and evergreen webinars since 2018, I know that these work really well for not only showcasing your knowledge but connecting with your audience. You can host webinars on common pain points or aspirational goals speaking directly to your ideal client. And, because they’re evergreen, it's like having a little marketing genie working for you 24/7. Just remember, keep it timeless. Avoid mentioning dates or specific things that date easily like the year or current events.
As we all know, (or we should know), you don't want to build your brand on borrowed ground. Yes, we want to build our brand on social media but we want to make sure that we're building our email list so that we can always communicate with our clients directly. Knowing that our content only gets shown to only 2% of our audience means that we don't have a lot of control. So you create emails that your clients will love.
Think of creating an email sequence that's as welcome in your inbox as finding $20 in your pocket. That's what we're aiming for with a value-driven email series. Drop in those weekly nuggets of wisdom, sprinkle some motivational magic, and watch as your list of potential clients grows. It’s all about building that connection—one cheeky, insightful email at a time.
Everyone loves a good challenge, right? “21 Days to Unlock Your Business Badassery” or whatever floats your boat. It's fun, it's engaging, and it’s something your audience can rally behind. Plus, it's a splendid way to introduce prospects to your coaching or business vibe. Think of it as a sampler platter—a little taste of what working with you could be like. The great thing is that if you find a challenge that works really well then you can just rinse and repeat!
Fact: People adore freebies and low-priced products, especially when they offer a ton of value. Creating an educational mini-course related to your niche not only establishes you as the go-to expert but also gets potential clients hooked on your content. It's like the first episode of a binge-worthy series; give them a compelling start, and they'll stick around for the full season.
Here’s a bit of brain candy for you: Companies that blog get 55% more website visitors than those that don't. So, if you’re not crafting SEO-optimised, evergreen blog posts that solve your audience's problems, (exhibit A – you're here, reading this article aren't you!) you're leaving money on the table. Keep it spicy, interesting, and loaded with valuable insights. Oh, and weaving in your personal stories? Chef's kiss!
One of the ways we do this with ease is that we talk about our podcast episodes and turn them into blogs. That means that we're getting more out of the content that we're creating plus we're upping our SEO ranking.
Your social media should be where your brand's personality shines brighter than a disco ball. Share behind-the-scenes peeks, nuggets of wisdom, and posts that get people saying, “OMG, that’s so me!” It's not just about selling; it's about creating a community, a tribe that’s all-in on your brand. Remember, it's social media, not sell-media.
When it comes to building a community and letting people get to know you, think about how you can connect with your audience through things like IG stories or TikTok. Share what you're thinking, and insights into your industry or their problems and connect through the comments too. It's not a one-way conversation SO GET INVOLVED!!
Teaming up with non-competing businesses or influencers for workshops or events is like hosting a party where everyone’s invited—and they all want to be your friends. It introduces your AMAZING coaching or business services to a wider audience and adds a layer of credibility. It’s a win-win!
Collaborating can also reduce the risk as you're tapping into your audience and theirs. We did this a number of times for large events like Confidence Rising and it worked a treat. It means you divide the workload but double the revenue, profit and audience!
Look, at the end of the day, marketing your biz isn’t about using every tactic under the sun. It’s about finding the right mix that resonates with you and your ideal clients. It’s about being so authentically you that your perfect clients can’t help but say, “Take my money!”
So, take a leaf out of my playbook: Be bold, be brilliant, but most importantly, be you. Because in a world full of copies, being original is your superpower.
