Have you ever walked into a shop and had an immediate impression of whether their goods are high or low quality? Well the same principles apply for your website and your sales pages. No matter whether you create online products or you have a physical store, the way you greet people visually goes a long way to how they feel about what you have to offer and ultimately if they purchase from you or not.
Today, we're going to be talking about brand perception affecting your pricing.
Okay, so what does that mean? How can my brand affect my pricing Suzanne? I hear you saying through the camera. Well, think about perception. Think about when you look at somebody's website, you go into a shop, you go and look at somebody's sales page. The way in which it's presented to you, makes you have a value point of how much you think it's worth.
If you don't have the right branding, and you don't have the right sales message, you don't have the right copy, you don't have the right images – and when I see this, I'm not talking about flash, expensive, etc, I'm talking about just something that really resonates with what it is you're trying to communicate. Then it can, at times, impact how people perceive the quality of the work that you're actually putting out there.
The other thing that I want to say is that, even if you're just starting out, it's not about having the biggest and the best. You have to start from where you are, but it is important that you've got a brand that really resonates with you, that really resonates with your message, and that puts you forward in the best way possible. If it is low quality and just not very good, then not only will people question the price, but they'll also question the quality of the content that you're actually putting out there.
Think about how you might react if you were to walk into a shop, and things are a little bit shabby, they're falling apart around you, and you're just not sure that this is where you want to be. The thing is, is that the product that's sitting on the wonky shelf might be amazing, but because there's a whole lot of shops around, your immediate reaction is that the quality of the product probably isn't that good, if this is how they keep their shop.
The lesson in today's video is to keep your shop, whether that be your website, or wherever it is that you operate from, you're physical shop in order, because people do make quick decisions. If they haven't had a chance to really get to know you, your business, your message, and what you're about, then all they've got to go on is first impressions. Make sure that thee first impression that you make is a really good one, by knowing what your brand personality is, understanding what the look and feel of your business needs to be, the tone of voice, and then, what you're actually going to be giving them on an ongoing basis to really build that relationship.
In this video masterclass, I’ll share the three key areas you need to focus on to scale your business and build a bold brand so that you attract the client that want what you have!
