Suz Chadwick [00:00:32]:
I have got a whole lot of episode topics that I've written down. And then I looked at what I was gonna talk about today, and I just had a different feeling. I was just like, I think I'm gonna go with something else. I have a different message that I feel like I wanna share with you today. And it's all about refocusing on what you're here to do. And the reason that I wanted to talk about this today is because if you have been experiencing hard times, tough things in your business. It's really easy to get caught in the negative and the scarcity and the problem solving and the all of the fixing things, yeah, all of the survival things that we feel. And I and, hey, I totally get it.
Suz Chadwick [00:01:26]:
It's been a tough year. But something that I have been trying to do more and working with my clients on it and working with myself on as well because I am not immune to this is really refocusing on what I'm here to do. And so that is what we're talking about today because, hopefully, when we refocus on what we are here to do in the world, who we are here to serve, what we want to be known for what we wanna create. It can inspire you to get out of scarcity. It can inspire you to do more of the things that are actually going to serve you, serve your clients, help you generate revenue, get more clients. So that's what I felt like I wanted to talk to you about. And if you could see me right now, I'm not recording the video, but my hands are outstretched. I am, like, preaching this today to you to Let's, like, get out of this together.
Suz Chadwick [00:02:30]:
Yeah? To be inspired together, to realign together, to reenergize together. Are you with me? Are you with me? Wherever you are, I just wanna go, yes, Suze. I am freaking with you, girl. So that's what we're talking about today. Do I have anything else for you? Yeah. I guess just letting you know that, obviously, we have still got the November offer for club done as I'm recording this episode. If you wanna come and join us, we had an amazing co working session the other day. 45 minutes felt like 5.
Suz Chadwick [00:03:05]:

So I am super excited for that. Head to sueschadwick.com forward slash club done, and come and join us so that you can have accountability, coaching, planning, co working and just be in an environment with other people who want to get stuff done because we know that that is where we get stuck sometimes. So that's what we're here to do. Anyway, listen.
Suz Chadwick [00:03:46]:
Let's dive into this week's episode. So when things get hard or, you know, it's just not going exactly the way that you want, then it's really easy, like I said, to get into scarcity or fix it mode or hustle mode, and I think that a lot of us have kind of been in survival mode for a lot of this year. And you may kind of be going in and out of it depending on how your business is going. I have had good months I've had not so good months. It's been a lot more of a roller coaster than it has in the last few years where, actually, it was really good over the last couple of years. And so I think that when we get into that, it's really worthwhile to create a circuit breaker. Yeah. And a circuit breaker is stopping just stopping everything for a moment.
Suz Chadwick [00:04:42]:
It could be a morning, it could be a day, just whatever the circuit breaker needs to be to get you out of survival mode and back into, like I'm not gonna say thriving, but a more positive momentum. Yeah. Let's not let's not go to the extreme. But if we can get into a positive momentum, I think that that's really gonna help. So the first thing I really want you to think about is what do you want your business to look like, and what are you trying to create? I think that sometimes when we do a circuit breaker, we've gotta stop, and we've got to reimagine. We've got to realign. We've got to reenvisage what it is that we're wanting because when we get into survival mode, what happens is that we get into the micro detail. We get into all the nitty gritty of what's happening.
Suz Chadwick [00:05:34]:
We get into negative thinking. We get into, like, faffing and procrastination because it feels hard. And so when we're in procrastination and the death scroll on social media. What we're doing is that we're numbing. We're numbing when we're in a place it's a bit of a fight or flight response. And so when you are in survival mode, then fight is almost hustle, and flight is procrastafathing and procrastascrolling. And so we have to do the circuit breaker to say, okay. Let me just stop everything that I'm doing.
Suz Chadwick [00:06:12]:
Let me come back to my business, and let's just really go deep here on what is it that I want right now? Like, if things were working really well, what would be happening? And if you can just step back and say, okay. If things are working really well, I would have and I'm maybe gonna use my business a little bit. I would have my evergreen funnels for BBA working really well. I would have new people coming into club done, which is happening, which is great. I would be sorting out, like, the launch for Amplify so that I've got my mastermind client set up for 2024. And I would have, like, you know, a couple because I've only got a couple of spots left, but a couple of new 1 on 1 clients. It's like, that might be what I am what I am wanting to happen as far as being specific with the outcomes that I want. That's the first thing.
Suz Chadwick [00:07:09]:
The second thing that I would be thinking about is how would I wanna feel? So I would wanna feel grateful. I talked about this yesterday on my Instagram stories where I was sitting outside, and I just stopped. And I just felt deep gratitude for my incredible clients who I just love and adore, and I just think I've got the best clients. It. I do. I think I've got the best clients in the world. And it was really interesting because whenever we were at Tony Robbins, we did a lot of this work around gratitude. And it was it was really stopping, and it was spending time in thinking about, you know, the times in your life that you've been most grateful, and actually stopping and reliving them in your mind and thinking about what how like, how you felt in that moment, really embodying that feeling, and I think that when we're getting to scarcity, I think that deep gratitude is where you can really start to circuit break and pull yourself out.
Suz Chadwick [00:08:22]:
And so I just sat yesterday, and I kind of did the Tony Robbins method a bit where I just thought of each client that I have at the moment, and I thought about something that I really that made me smile about them. I thought about something that I've really helped them to do. I thought about their face on our calls when they've had a breakthrough or something amazing's happened for them. Like, that's it's not just like, oh, I'm so grateful. It's not like a fleeting moment. It's not like, oh, yes. No. I'm just grateful for my clients.
Suz Chadwick [00:08:59]:
Like, deep gratitude is living in, reliving moments that you've loved. And if you wanna do a circuit breaker in your business, I want you to think about, like, the best moment of your business. What has what have been a couple of the best moments of your business? And I want you to stop, and I want you to think about it, and I want you to relive it. I want you to picture it. I want you to feel it. I want you to see it. I want you to hear it, and I want you to sit in it for, like, at least 60 seconds, if not more. And I want you to think about, how can I bring more of this feeling into what I'm doing on a day to day basis? How can I bring more of this feeling into creating my content, into speaking to my audience, into building my community, into serving, like, who I'm wanting to serve? How can I come at it from instead of scarcity, hecticness, hustle? How do I come at it from a place of deep gratitude, appreciation, and, like, let me replicate this.
Suz Chadwick [00:10:14]:
Let me make more of this. Let me create more opportunities for me to feel this way and for my clients to feel this way. How can I do that? And so as we're realigning, we wanna be in that gratitude, in those feelings, in those moments. And if you've never done it before, I would really encourage you. You could even just pause this podcast now and take 5 minutes to think of your favorite clients and your favorite moments and the best things that have happened to you in your business. And I want you to feel that and then think about what would it be like if I was in this feeling more and creating from this feeling? Like, what would happen in your business if you were creating from that feeling. Also think about, like, if you wanna create a movement. Obviously, with a lot of my clients, they're really passionate about what it is that they're here to do.
Suz Chadwick [00:11:20]:
They're really passionate about their clients. They're passionate about helping their clients to achieve a certain outcome. You know, I'm thinking right now of one of my beautiful clients who owns a handmade clothing store. And we were just talking about you know, it's not just about the clothes. It's about a movement of women at any age, like, living their best life, wearing bold and bright colors, feeling like they can wear anything that they want and loving it. There there's a movement and a message around body positivity and embracing who you are and standing out in the crowd. And we were talking about that on a coaching call a while ago where when you're in the mindset of how do I just sell more stuff, it can become really hard to create and be magnetic from that place. But if you really move or start to talk about and think about the movement that you're wanting to create, you your ability to come up with different ideas and different ways of thinking about what it is that you talk about is so much easier as well.
Suz Chadwick [00:12:34]:
And so I just want you to think about, are you building a business from a place of the movement that you wanna create. So for me, I you know, that I wanna creative movement of women who wanna be bold and powerful voices in the world and claim their space with confidence. I wanna be part of a movement where I help you to build a bold brand and be courageous. Do the thing that you're scared to do. And I want you to pay yourself. Like, seriously, pay yourself. And I have been having discovery calls with clients and or potential clients where, you know, once again, the whole thing of building a profitable business, building a business that has great profit margins, and then being strategic about making that even better if you don't have it so that you can pay yourself so that you're not working for free, so that you're paying into your super, so that when you work, you know that you're being rewarded. Even though you love what you do, you wanna be rewarded for it.
Suz Chadwick [00:13:35]:
And so that's my movement. My movement is is helping you be bolder, more courageous, build the brand, get paid. Like, I'm so passionate about that. And so what is the movement that you're trying to create? What's the movement that you wanna talk about? When you understand what that movement is, then the message will fall out of that because I know that a lot of people feel like they don't know exactly what to say. And sometimes I get that feeling too. I've shared that with you. But I think that when I come from that place of when I'm serving my clients, then a whole lot of messages, a whole lot of ideas, a whole lot of inspiration comes out of that. And so when you are in the gratitude and you're thinking about the movement that you wanna create.
Suz Chadwick [00:14:21]:
Then I want you to think about, you know, if I always say to my clients, if you were standing on a stage and you had 300 of your ideal clients, 700 of your ideal clients in front of you, and you were there to speak to them about something. What would you talk about from the heart? What is the thing that you wanna say? What's the message that you wanna share? You know? And just like my client with the clothing store. It just starts to flow out of you when you come out it from that place instead of sitting in front of your computer going, what am I gonna say today? When we realign with why we're here and what we're trying to create and, you know, how we wanna be and what we wanna share, then it just comes from a different place. Instead of coming from a place of trying to force a message, come from a place of what what I wanna share with the 700 people that are sitting in front of me today. What is the thing that I think that they need to know? What is the thing that I know that they're struggling with, what is the thing that I think that I can really help them to understand, believe, Jeev do create today that I know that if I share this, it's gonna really help them. And so I've been coming at my content creation from that place. I've been really thinking about okay. I'm standing in front of my audience this morning, and I'm seeing them.
Suz Chadwick [00:15:46]:
I'm visualizing them. I'm visualizing my clients. I'm visualizing my community. I'm putting myself in an energy of gratitude an excitement to be able to share. Now what's today's message? What is the thing I'm gonna be sharing today? Now, obviously, having a strategy around that where I am thinking about, am I sharing this with, like, a new audience? Am I sharing it with people who already know me? Am I sharing it with people who are thinking about working with me? But I come at it from a place of let me share my message today so that I can connect with them in a deeper way so that I can share something that they may not have heard before. And I think that if you can kind of start to realign yourself with some of those things with gratitude, with the movement, with the message, and start visualizing that, then you will be in a feeling and in an energy that is a lot more positive and a lot more productive div and a lot more creative than if you're in hustle and scarcity mode. So I want you to think about how you you can start to work from that place as well. I think the other thing that when it comes to realigning is not just thinking about, okay.
Suz Chadwick [00:16:57]:
Well, what would be happening if my business was doing what I wanted it to do? But then it's also saying, okay. Well, let me focus on one thing and be like, okay. What's my goal with that? And then how am I gonna achieve that goal? How am I gonna build the strategy around that goal? How am I gonna show up and start talking about that thing in a way that really feels great for me, and how can I measure what's working? I do think that even when we're wanting to realign our energy and our mindset and our, you know, vision for what we want, having a really clear goal of what you're actually going after. Like so when I say I want my evergreen funnel for BBA working, well, what does that mean? Does it mean that I've got 5 new people every month coming in. Does it mean I've got 20 new people every month coming in? What would feel good for me? How could it work for me? What do I need to do in order to, like, make that happen. And so I think that knowing what you're aiming for, again, realigning with your goals and checking in on them and checking in on them not only from a what do I want, but what do I need to believe and think in order to make that happen? What do I need to shift and change where if what I want hasn't been happening, how could I shift my thinking around it? What else could I do around this? How could I bring more energy to it so that I can achieve it? Because if what you're doing isn't working, you've got to change it, obviously. Because remember, doing the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of madness. So I think that's the quote.
Suz Chadwick [00:18:37]:
But just thinking about, you know, if I'm not getting where I wanna go, I've gotta change something. I've gotta show up in a different way, or I've gotta change something. So I really want you to think about what are the specific goals that you have, where are you with those goals and what would need to change. And a lot of times, it's our thoughts around it because our thoughts will drive our actions. And so what are the things that I need to change, and what are the thoughts I need to have now that are really gonna help me to show up and get the result that I want so that I can align with this in a really positive way. And I talk to my Amplify clients about this a lot, and I think I've shared it in a master class before as well, but it's about having a profitable thought loop. So when do we have a profitable thought loop. The thought is that money is available to me, that I can charge what I want, that the right clients are waiting for me, that the goals that I have are achievable.
Suz Chadwick [00:19:37]:
And so when I have those thoughts, some I think I shared it in Simple Sales Coaching Week as well. When I have those thoughts, then the amount of work that I do to bring those clients in is so much more and in such an energized way. Like, I don't feel overworked. I don't feel stressed about it. Like, I just know that those clients are going to come because now I'm going to show up, and I'm gonna share what I have. And so I just want you to think about, are you in a broke thought loop or are you in a profitable thought loop? Because when you're in a broke thought loop, nothing's working, there are no clients, nobody is buying, things are really hard, I have no money, like, blah blah blah, on and on and on. Yeah? And so once again, we have to flip the script and think about how do I move myself into a profitable thought loop, a a productive thought loop, yeah, one that's really gonna allow me to show up in the energy that I want so that I can magnetize and track the clients that I'm wanting to work with. How can you put yourself in those places with those people so that you can share what it is that you have.
Suz Chadwick [00:20:54]:
Because just sitting at home and stressing about the fact that you don't have the clients that you want and, like, doing a post on Instagram or LinkedIn and thinking that that's gonna fix it is just not going to get you the momentum that you want. And we wanna build momentum in a fun and enjoyable way. We wanna create in a fun and enjoyable way because then then we're in flow. And it that was really interesting. I was watching an old coaching video of me and my coach earlier in the year, and I was just saying to her that I feel like when I talk, when I'm on a podcast, when I'm speaking at an event, like, there's so much more energy around what I'm doing. I find it easy. Like, I could talk all day long. But when I write, I don't feel like I have the same energy or convey the same thing in my writing.
Suz Chadwick [00:21:48]:
And so we were really talking about in that coaching call, how can I show up and talk more? So things like Reels and TikTok can all the rest of it, you know, actually play to my strengths? And so I want you to think about what plays to your strengths. Where are you in a place where you feel you're most magnetic, where you feel you're most energized, where you can create from a place of joy and excitement and happiness and ease that can really help you. So that's what we're talking about today is taking the time to realign, to bring more energy, joy, ease, profitability, flow, excitement. Like, just sometimes we need a reset. If you've been in business for a while, sometimes we just need a reset. If you've just started your business, you star like, sometimes we still need a reset. Yeah? So I think that giving yourself that realignment and that reset to kinda draw a line in the sand and go, okay. Like, let me re inspire and energize myself.
Suz Chadwick [00:23:00]:
And it doesn't matter that it's, like, almost the end of the year because you know that I keep saying people are only taking a couple of weeks off. Like, it's not like everything shuts down. So now is a great time to reenergize yourself for next year or for the rest of this year, and it only takes, like, an hour. It only takes you can start with 15 minutes to feel that deep gratitude, to really think about what you want, to really think about, am I in the, profitable thought loop, or am I in a broke thought loop? If I had the 700 people in front of me. I'm just thinking about when I spoke at the huddle. 700 incredible people sitting in front of me. What do I wanna say to them? Like, think about what that realigned, reenergized kind of thinking and being and creating is for you right now, and it comes from a place of gratitude. Do the 5 minute, 10 minute gratitude exercise, and then do the realignment.
Suz Chadwick [00:24:04]:
I think that's a great way to do it. I want you to almost, like, you know, just stop, do the circuit breaker, clear your mind, think about the gratitude element, and then start thinking about, what do I want? If everything was going the way I want, what would be happening? How do I wanna feel? What is my profitable thought loop? What is the message I'm giving to the 700 people in front of me. Like, do it in that order. Let me know how you go because I think that we should be doing like, do this once a quarter. Do this, like, when we do you do your 90 day sprint. Like, do this. I think it's an amazing way to kind of clear the cobwebs, blow the dust off, and be like, right. Let's go.
Suz Chadwick [00:24:48]:
Instead of feeling beaten down, scarce, stressed, hustle, let me realign from a deep place of gratitude so that I can now create from a place of flow, ease, joy, happiness, and wanting to make that impact and really align with what I am here to do in the world and create from there. So I can't wait to hear how you go with this. Let me know. Please share this on your socials if you're listening and you enjoyed this episode. Leave a review. It just makes such a difference.
